Many things happen in a chemical reaction. Some changes are visible to a naked eye, and some only visible through powerful microscopes. Though not visible to the naked eye many things happen inside a chemical reaction. What we see on the outside (smoke, bubble, temperature change, and odor change) is a result of whats happening on the inside. Inside of the atoms valence electrons are changing atoms thus causing changes in the chemical make-up of an atom.
