All the boys favorite science activity and the girls least, is the animal dissection. Many people wonder what is the point of cutting open a dead animal and examining its insides. Dissections serve multiple purposes in classrooms. First, it helps familiarize ourselves with the parts of the body, and it’s purpose. Though it may be only a frog or worm, animals share many of the same body parts as humans. Also the hands-on experiment provides a new and easier way to learn. I have learned the names and functions of many new body parts thanks to this experiment.
