Have you ever heard the saying “Pride before fall.” or the saying “Eat crow.” Well those two sayings are based around what happens when you brag. If you watch you will see that when someone usually brags they usually fall or completely embarrass themselves and that is what my stories are about.
I went to Tennessee this spring to ski. We were about halfway through the day when we met this snowboarder while we were waiting in line for the ski lift. We got in to a conversation and ended up asking him if snowboarding was hard. Well he said that rarely ever falls. We told him that we had seen a lot of snowboarders falling face first and he goes “I’m pretty good I haven’t face planted in a while.” Well when we got off the ski lift we saw him ground face planted in the snow.
One time this kid that lives down the street was shooting baskets we saw this huge ramp and he was bragging about he could jump it 100 times without falling. So he tried it once and his bike went one way and he went the other.
These same things will also happen with my family members they will tell me to come watch them jay a three or stand on there tippy toes or balance on one foot and they will always fall or miss. No matter how big, buff, smart, smart, tall, small, you are bragging will bring your face to the ground.

A Gift of God
Most of us have gift, and not just any gift but one we use every day. This gift is not a gift we can give to some one or even fix. God gave us this gift and we should thank him dearly for it. This gift is the gift of sight. We wake up every day and look at the clock. Then we go look at what we’re eating for breakfast. Then go look at our teeth while were brushing our teeth. We use sight every second of day light. When God created the world he had a plan. He created night and day but what is the point if we couldn’t see? Every one wants to see what they are eating, what their loved ones look like and their kid’s first steps but you can’t do that when blind.
My life would be so different if I couldn’t see. I would not be able to play sports, play music, do homework, read real words, see my kids, watch their games, and much much more. If I were to lose this sense I wouldn’t be able to live with myself. I wouldn’t be able to do all the things I love (especially sports). I love the sense of sight and would do almost anything to keep it.
It Ain’t Over Till the Fat Cow Sings
When your ears are ringing
and your eyes are burning,
When your money’s been taken
and your toes are broken,
When your hair is on fire
and you have a flat tire,
When your fingers are trembling
and your knees are shaking,
When you break your arm
and someone brings you harm,
When life throws you a curve ball
smack it right back down its throat
because It Ain’t Over Till the Fat Cow Sings

The Danish Times – Unwanted in Denmark
Denmark- The German’s have invaded Denmark, and with such a small army Denmark has surrendered. Also the Nazi’s have posted Nazi soldiers at each corner. They have taken all the countries sugar, butter, and meat. Now a group of young adults have set up an operation called the Resistance. The Resistance is made up of many young adults and has been doing what ever they can to destroy the Nazis. Many of these young adults have been captured and or killed by the Nazis!
We asked Danish man named Bob some questions about the Nazis and the resistance and here are his answers.
Reporter- How do you feel about the Resistance?
Bob- I don’t think that blowing up the Nazi’s trucks and factories is going to get you anything but trouble.
Reporter- I also hear that the German’s are relocating Jews how do you feel about that?
Bob- I have no clue where the Jews are being relocated to, it could be heaven for what we know.
Reporter- Thanks Bob for answering those questions maybe we’ll see you around.
Okay you have heard one side of the story let’s hear the other. We asked this Nazi soldier what he thought of the Resistance
Reporter- What do you think of the Resistance?
Nazi Soldier- I think their jerks. I mean if I’m not mistaken Denmark surrendered quite a while ago and yet these people in the Resistance have blown up our factories and trucks and then go hide what cowards
Reporter- Wow what a response thank you for sharing your side of the story.
Well that sounds interesting. We’ll keep you posted on World War 2, and remember to burn this paper after you have read it so the Nazi’s won’t suspect anything.
A Box Full of Presents
Every year on December 23 my family and I go to my grandma’s house for food and to play the Box. The Box is a game our family plays where you pull a string and a present is attached to the string and when you pull the string the present comes out too. You can trade your present with someone who has already opened theirs or you can open it. This was my most memrable moment because right after the Box we have a silly string war. We each get 1 or 2 bottles and then we have an all out war. We always have so much fun!
